Three Jewish authors are promoting their new books in metro Atlanta this month.
Audrey Galex, a Brookhaven resident, is the author of “Turtle Rocks,” a children’s book about the power of perspective, curiosity, and hope whimsically illustrated by Colleen Finn.
“Turtle Rocks is a children’s picture book with a seemingly simple story: On the surface, it’s a tale about turtles plodding along a forest path to sun themselves on a log in a pond, and about how each reacts to what appears to be a rock in its path. Beneath the surface, it’s a story of perseverance, leadership, teamwork, and authenticity.
Galex describes herself as a mother, activist, and placemaker. She is the Community Engagement director for AIB Network (Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters, Inc.). She will be at Virginia Highland Books, 1034 N. Highland Ave. from 2-4 p.m. on March 17.
